Just like your sight, hearing is a vital sense and it’s important that you monitor its health – as you would your eyes. This is why M&S Opticians offer free hearing health checks as part of our services. We understand that with better hearing you can make the most of the world around you. Our highly trained Hearing Aid Audiologists are available to provide a comprehensive hearing assessment; where they’ll check the health of your ears and your level of hearing.
Get help with your hearing
Free Hearing Screening
This is a simple check that takes just 5-10 minutes to complete. Using a simple testing device, it shows how you hear across four sound frequencies (low to high pitched). If the results show you need further investigation, a hearing assessment can be carried out by one of our qualified Hearing Aid Audiologists.
Free Hearing Assessment
The hearing assessment is more comprehensive, and will identify what changes in your hearing have occurred and the steps needed to address these changes. During the assessment you’ll have an initial discussion with the Hearing Aid Audiologist to understand your medical history and general health, followed by an ear health check where the Audiologist will examine the outer ear, checking for any blockages or abnormalities of the eardrum and ear canal. Following this, a more thorough check of your hearing will be carried out followed by a in depth explanation of your results, whereby you will be able to ask any questions you may have.

The Latest Technologies
We offer hearing aids that work directly with your iPhone. This means you can stream music or calls from your iPhone directly to your hearing aids using Bluetooth technology, giving you greater sound quality with less distracting background noises. Plus, you can also control your hearing aid settings through an app on your phone, adjusting the volume, settings and tone to suit you.
The latest hearing aid technology not only helps users hear more clearly, it can also translate into different languages, transcribe conversations direct to your iPhone and monitor your body and brain health. To find out more simply ask your Hearing Aid Audiologist.
Thanks to the latest technology, you can now enjoy continuous and uninterrupted use of your hearing aids throughout the day. Our range of rechargeable hearing aids will take the hassle out of replacing batteries every few days and provide an easier rechargeable solution. Simply set your hearing aids on the charger overnight and they’ll be ready to use the next day.
Our Hearing Aid Audiologist can explain all the benefits of rechargeable hearing aids.
